another exciting update

We walked to the lake today.
The water level was lower than I expected. People in Birmingham are going to have to stop taking such long showers!
On the positive side, we did get to see shells and rocks that would normally be hidden under the water.

    Do you ever see eagles up there? They must be nesting there - we had one in our yard last year! Just send them on down here if you see them. :)

    Mountainmelody... love your post. Wondered what lake it was as I am surprised when you mentioned Birmingham. We used to live in Jasper before moving to Va. Sort of made us neighbors.

    No eagles--but I keep watching for those phantom bears some people say are out there! Those would be best to view from afar, I think.

    This lake is one of the water sources for Birmingham--so not too far away at all!
