I was working away in my office when I heard a strange noise. Suddenly something came crashing down from the sky, scattering the items on my desk and then landing on the floor.
Oops! One of the blinds had fallen off my window (and broken into pieces on the floor).
It must have gotten tired after holding on for twenty-some years. Now that I'm getting on up there myself, I guess I can't blame it!

Wow -- do they even make blinds like that anymore? At what point does something shift from being tacky to being retro, I wonder.
That blind and I must be about the same age... hanging on for dear life and finally crashing to the floor!

It depends--was it your home office or your work office? That can be the deciding factor on whether something is tacky or retro, lol.

Funny! How I miss my old "retro" stomping grounds and the beautiful vertical blinds and green carpet squares! I'd love to hear what Mr. Ronnie had to say about your blinds incident. Glad no one was hurt. :)
