fog

The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

    I have always LOVED that poem! I remember it from when I was like 7 or 8.

    love that poem ~ my mom had a carl sandburg album when i was growing up ~ it was him reading his poems and it had a big picture of his face in profile on the cover
