Why do people send wedding invitations to me and "guest"?
I do most everything else fine by myself. Why do I need a guest to attend a wedding?
I'm not offended; it just seems like a stupid custom to me.

to do otherwise might imply that you couldn't possibly drag a guest to a wedding at gunpoint, and no one would want to assume...
There are a lot of stupid customs associated with weddings. I did away with several for mine... hee,hee. The old ladies in Bibb County are probably still shocked I didn't do something "correctly". :)
