on the ubiquity of pollen

Posted by mountainmelody On 3/27/2007 09:30:00 PM 1 comments
In case you don't live anywhere around here, or you have stayed in your house with your blinds closed and your eyes shut for the past week, here's a little pollen update for you.

on the car, but hard to capture with my camera--
it looks much worse in person

in the yard

in the water

And apparently it hasn't hit its peak yet.
I hope you're not allergic!

I've become "one of those people."

Today I called someone to ask them if they'd received an email I sent.

Sigh.

(If it makes a difference. the email bounced back several times, and it was something urgent they needed by tomorrow.)

As I was coming out of a store today, something strange caught my eye. The trunk of my car was wide open.

Everything was still inside--no one must have wanted my jumper cables or old sleeping bag. (But they were a little wet.)

If I had bumped the alarm button on my keychain instead, at least I would have known about it right away. :P

Leader: In one place in Jordan, there are buildings carved out of stone! What do you see in this picture? [shows picture of Petra]

Girl: Sedimentary rock!

Leader: This verse says that God loves the whole world. And is Jordan included in the whole world?

Girl (sweetly): No.

Today set a new record: a wreck blocking the road on the way to work, and a wreck blocking the road on the way back from work.

Both on 59, of course.

and you thought I wasn't patient?

Since California is nicer than Alabama this time of year, I'll post a few more pictures from my trip.
